About Tails of Triumph
Tails of Triumph is an aspiring nonprofit organization based just outside the Boston area. We are dedicated to helping dogs get adopted from places all over, sharing information on how you can get involved, and accepting donations to support rescue efforts. Tails of Triumph was founded by Cathy Young, a mother, business owner, and devoted dog lover. Her mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home dogs in need. Through this website, we aim to share heartwarming adoption stories, offer educational resources for potential adopters, and raise awareness about the joy of pet adoption as well as the powerful impact of helping an animal find a better life.
What we Do
At Tails of Triumph, we are dedicated to giving rescue dogs a second chance at life by helping them safely travel from challenging situations to loving homes. We coordinate with flight nannies to arrange and cover the cost of each dog’s journey, ensuring they have safe and comfortable travels. From organizing transportation to and from airports to helping match dogs with foster families or adopters, we handle the details so that every pup has the opportunity for a brighter future. Our mission is simple: to bridge the gap between rescue dogs in need and the families ready to welcome them home!

How we Started
Tails of Triumph began with our founder, Cathy Young, a devoted mother of four who became an empty nester when her youngest children, twins Katie and Michael, left for college last fall. With newfound time on her hands and a lifelong love for dogs, Cathy discovered the flight nanny program we use today. On a trip abroad with her sister and sister-in-law, the three of them escorted home three of the sweetest rescue pups—and Cathy instantly knew this was the perfect way to fill her heart now that her kids were grown. Already a proud rescue dog owner herself, Cathy poured her energy into helping other dogs find safety and love. Over the past year, she has made countless trips to airports to pick up and transfer dogs, arranged their travel logistics, and worked tirelessly to match fosters and adopters with the right pup. What began as one trip with family has grown into a mission: turning Cathy’s love for dogs into a lifeline for rescues in need. As Cathy's passion grew, Tails of Triumph was born, and the organization continues to grow with family, friends and fellow dog lovers all getting involved in the journey!
About our Founder; Cathy Young
Cathy Young is a wife, mother of four (Abby, 24; Sarah, 23; and twins Michael and Katie, 19), and lifelong dog lover who lives just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She and her husband, Kenny, own a commercial millwork business, and at home they share life with their two beloved rescue dogs, Dunkin and Cash. What began as one trip escorting rescue pups soon became a passion project that Cathy felt truly called to pursue. She pours her time, energy, and personal resources into this work, supporting travel, shelter donations, and adoption efforts because she believes every dog deserves the chance at a better life. In her free time, you’ll find Cathy golfing, spending time with her family, or tirelessly working to help dogs find safe, loving homes. Her dedication goes above and beyond, guided by her heart for rescue and the joy of seeing dogs begin new chapters with families who love them.
